About Me
Hi! My name is Ysabela. I am currently open to work!
I graduated Birmingham City University with MSc Video Game Development.
As a younger programmer, I like to do a variety of tasks and job roles in a project so I can learn more about each area to get a better understanding of what I want to focus my career on. I've worked on all sorts of tasks ranging from UI to Gameplay and AI.Â
While I enjoy any task I'm given and do my best in completing them, I've found myself enjoying Gameplay and UI tasks the most! I love working on things that improve player experience and what they can do in the game; even if a lot of the time features and work are cut, I enjoy hopping on and working on new and different ideas :D.
What inspired me to go into game development?
Growing up I didn't play a lot of games due to money constraints, so comparing myself to other developers now - I've played nothing. As I grew older, I remembered the fun experiences and memories from playing games, solo or with other people and thought to myself, 'Wouldn't it be nice if someone had fun playing a game I made?'.
So, what are some of the few games I played when I was young?
The Incredibles (PS2)
Animal Crossing: Wild World (Nintendo DS)
Runescape (Now known as Old School Runescape)
Wii Sports + Resorts (Wii)
Mario Kart Wii (Wii)
